Teaching, Research & Education Abroad
All staff of the HSWT have the opportunity to further their education abroad. This enables participants to strengthen their international and intercultural skills and improve their language skills. Professors, research assistants and other teaching staff also have the option of teaching at a University of applied sciences abroad, thus promoting international exchange.
The following variants of staff mobility are possible through the Erasmus+ programme, which are carried out in coordination with the International Office:

Further & Continuing Education

Within the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme (STT), university members can visit a participating partner university of the HSWT or a company in order to receive further training there.
The following measures are eligible for funding:

Training stays (job shadowing, exchange of experience, Staff Training Weeks).

Participation in workshops, seminars & language courses.
Prerequisites are

for stays at partner universities: a bilateral agreement between the home & host university

agreement of the supervisor(s)
-
appropriate language skills
-
preparation of a work programme & final report
Duration: The duration of the stay is a minimum of two days and a maximum of two months.

Mobility for Teaching Purposes
Within the framework of Erasmus+ Teacher Mobility (STA), teachers at the HSWT also have the opportunity to carry out a guest lecture at a participating partner university.
Duration: Teaching stays within Europe last between two days and two months (excluding travel time); the teaching load is at least eight hours per stay or per week or part thereof.
How is staff mobility abroad promoted?
Staff of the HSWT can receive financial support both for a stay abroad for further training purposes and as a guest lecturer. This includes:

Current funding rates can be found on the DAAD website. The application process is handled by the International Office, which will be happy to advise you. All necessary documents are also available here.

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) provides various programmes and information on research abroad for students, doctoral candidates and experienced academics.
The DAAD also offers suitable programmes in the area of teaching abroad.
